1. Tell us about your last book in one sentence.
By forming two bearded relationships, two gay couples create their own family, which goes through many twists and turns over the course of two decades.
2. What’s the last book you read that blew you away?
I have to provide two, because they are both very different styles. The first was May Dawney’s Survival Instincts. I’m not a huge fan of dystopian lit, but this really got its hooks into me fast. The second book is Richard Preston’s Demon in the Freezer. I love the way he writes non-fiction as a story. In this case, an absolutely terrifying true story.
3. Do you happen to have any celebrity crushes at the moment? 😉
Padma Lakshmi pretty much all the time. Always.
4. What are you most proud of as a writer?
When I learn from a review that what I wrote touched an emotional chord with the reader or made them laugh, showed them a new perspective…All of that means the world to me.
5. What’s next for you?
My novel Dreams (who knows if that title will stick) is currently out publisher shopping. I’m hoping to sign with someone before the end of 2018. I’m also stoked for my first GCLS conference in July.
