1. Tell us about your last book in one sentence.
My last book was actually The Doll Maker. So here goes; DI Sophie Whitton and her team must act fast if they are to stop anyone else falling victim to The Doll Maker.
2. What’s the last book you read that blew you away?
To be honest, I rarely read now, though I do use audiobooks for driving and the gym. There are only a couple of books that really stand out for me. Fantastic Mr Fox, I remember it giving me an overwhelming sense of justice and fairness as a child. The first real Lesfic that grabbed my attention and really made me fall in love with the characters was Melissa Brayden’s Kiss the Girl; Jessica…phew!
3. Do you happen to have any celebrity crushes at the moment? 😉
Haha, funnily I have literally just realised that I am over one… I had a huge crush on Angie Harmon. The last four or five years at least… so, I’m on the lookout for a new one!
4. What are you most proud of as a writer?
The Promise. It’s not my biggest selling book because I think many people are put off by the topic; Cancer. But I wrote it for my parents, and anyone else that has lived through the process of watching someone they love die, and then having to carry on and live a life without them. Will it make you cry? Yes, it’s cathartic and beautiful and when anyone has read it, I get the most amazing reviews. From someone who took themselves off for a check-up, to people that have lost their own wife/mother/friend.
5. What’s next for you?
I have a new book out in April, it’s a second chance romance called Forget It. I have my first audio book coming early summer too, with Escape and Freedom currently being recorded by Sarah Sampino. Then there is a little novella called Leaving Bree. In the meantime, I am writing two WIPs so we will see which one wins out in the end and gets published first!
