1. Tell us about your last book in one sentence.
A fairy tale gone dark, A Queen Rises is the complicated story of a fall from grace, in which Marcela faces tragedy and abuse, and embarks in a journey towards power and madness.
2. What’s the last book you read that blew you away?
Dragon Whisper by Niamph Murphy is everything I ever wanted from fantasy and romance. It’s a tale of love, death and difficult journeys. It has dragons. Dragons! It’s sword and sorcery at its best, and it’s sprinkled with diversity and love.
3. Do you happen to have any celebrity crushes at the moment? 😉
I have been totally in love with Alba Flores since I saw her on La Casa de Papel (Money Heist). She’s fierce and super sexy.
4. What are you most proud of as a writer?
Actually getting something published. I have a comfortable, demanding job that I love, and I have always thought of writing as a hobby, so it has been a big step for me to be serious about it and put in the extra time and effort to self-publish.
5. What’s next for you?
Part two of A Queen Rises, of course (first draft is half-way done, so yey!). I also have a f/f Snow White retelling already up for pre-order, and I’m working on a stand-alone comic fantasy novella that I’m super excited about, because everything else I’m doing is so angsty.
